This coming Saturday, FH&A is offering a FREE photography workshop exploring the wild parts in Saint Boniface, and we would love for you to join us.
We are going to explore the relationship between nature and industry in this neighbourhood. The progression from historical indigenous camp sites, to early trade route settlements, to sparse industrial area, to a very wild place over the last 300 years is impressive to say the least.
We welcome all shooting styles, ages, and skill levels. Everyone has a place and a voice at our workshops.
We will meet at Café Postal (202 Provencher Blvd) at 9:00 a.m. sharp. We will then do a 2-3 hour walking tour along the Red and Seine river to demonstate the surprising amount of wilderness contained in this area of Winnipeg.
I (Joseph Visser) will show you all my favourite spots in my neigbourhood and give a short talk about my approach to photographing the relationship between the industry and nature in the area. I will also provide any technical photography questions you might have (and also listen and learn from you.)
Any questions? Comment below. Hope to see you there!
