We were recently introduced to Kahren's work and were totally blown away. We're talking the jaw on the floor, "how did she do this" reaction. Her Double X project is done all on film, in camera by taking a frame, rewinding the film, flipping the camera upside down, and taking an identical shot. What we are left with is a lesson in symmetry, colour, and texture. Her abstract compositions lend themselves equally well to both urban and natural landscapes.
The collection of images seen here are from Kahren Sabater's recent trips throughout the USA (New York, California, Arizona, and Nevada) all taken with an Elan 7 using Kodak Portra 400 or Fuji Provia 100.
